I am looking for a remote control that is water proof. I am planning on connecting the speakers in my hot tub to my multi-zone amp and need a remote that wont be bothered by water. Ideally it would also float.
I have spent a couple hours searching the net to no avail so far. Anyone seen something like this?

Flushable remote. You can retrieve it at the sewage treatment plant and "It takes a lickin, and keeps a tickin". :)
Zip-loc baggie.

I, too, have looked high and low for a waterproof remote - for my hot tub.
No luck. Unfortunately, I need one that is an IR-learning remote to control my Sony receiver's "zone-3" (outside speakers) and my AudioTron. I only need 5 buttons!
I do have the Sony RM-VL700 for the bedroom, and I brought it outside. Wife promptly kicked it into the hot tub when she was getting in!
I grabbed it quick, removed the batteries and set it upside-down (to drain). Later, I opened it up and used a hair-dryer to dry it. Put it back together - and it works perfectly!

If you hear of any waterproofs (aside from the zip-lock, which many on this forum use), please post back to this thread!
Thanks, Glen

I use the Xantech WPK4 mounted in a watertight box beside the hottub. Since the WPK4 is made for outdoors there is not much you need to do except run a piece of Category 5 cable to the keypad, pickup a connecting block a few emitters and get a local Xantech dealer to program it for you, OR I would be willing to program it for you if you send me the Dragon Drop file and the keypad.
