I purchased the RAV 220 off ebay and like it a lot. However I have had it for only a couple months and I'm already on my 3rd set of batteries. Does this thing really suck out that much power? Anyone else have a RXV2200, 3200, or RXV-1 should have a similar remote. Do any of you have battery life issues?

Invest in some Everready stock, maybe you'll get some of that battery expense back. If you're like some I know, the remote ends up wedged in couch cushions, sat on, etc, keeping keys down and wasting batteries. Three months is awfully short battery life, I usually get a year or better out of mine, but then I don't have a yammy mote.

Not 3 months, more like 3 weeks of battery life. I don't get it? The remote stays flat on the coffee table when not in use so nothing is being transmitted by accident.
