I just got a hughes executive director directv receiver and it won't work properly with any of my universal remotes (it works fine with the included remote). With my universal remotes (rs, all in one etc), the receiver will randomly repeat whatever key you press on the remote. I've tried this with many remotes, and with another identical hughes receiver, with similiar results. If I 'learn' a command from the receiver's remote to a universal remote, then that works better (than the 'regular' device code 749 function codes used by pressing the command keys). It would seem that for this model they slightly altered the codes somehow (maybe included a terminator code of somesort to say don't repeat this command) . Anybody know anything about this??
