I have a Toshiba VCR (sorry, I don't remember what model it is) that I need a new remote for. A universal would be fine, but so far I haven't found one that will control the on-screen menu for programming, setting the time, etc. I'm probably just not looking at the more expensive remotes, but I don't want to spend a lot for a remote, either. Other items I will want to control with it are a Motorola Digital cable box and an RCA 31" tv.
I'm looking at some RCA remotes online (RCU800, RCU800MSL, and RCU810). Would any of these provide that function?
Thanks.
Jay

Avoid RCA remotes, stick with One For All and Radio Shack remotes as most of these support "advanced codes", which you'll probably need to program buttons that are not automatically programmed using the built in setup codes. Check my site for more info. Rob. http://www.hifi-remote.com
