I was horsing around with my dog and knocked the Sony RM-AV2000 off the couch. Nothing new...this remote is always falling off the table or sofa. Except, this time the touchscreen glass cracked and that half of the screen's keys do not work(SIGH!).
Question 1.) Sony can fix...right? I would assume so although it may be more price friendly to replace it than repair it.
Question 2.) I can't wait that long. I am definitely in the market for a new remote. The RM-AV2100 sounds like a slightly better upgrade at a similar price. However, I have an older Sony Megachanger 200 cd. I was wondering...is there a remote that can store your CD artist/cd name(or catalog) in memory so you can select your CD of choice from the remote without using the stupid CD booklet? Is it true the RC-5000i(?) can do this? Or am I dreaming?
Thanks! My poor remote...poor me. Damn.

1) I'm sure. But you're probably right about the price. Esp since you have the 2000, which came down when the 2100 came out.
2) Pronto/RC-5000 can do this. Move over to that forum and the files area on this website. You'll find plenty of info.
Uh, don't drop the Pronto. :)

Surfguy the Pronto/RC-5000i can handle 200 CDs no problem. Leo has created a great utility that is used by many to make the experience a bit easier here is a link to his site [Link: nudel.demon.co.uk]final result: [Link: nudel.demon.co.uk]
