Just picked up this remote. It's very nice, but seems unable to learn certain functions of the remote for my Sony DA333ES receiver. The Sony remote is the RM-LJ302, a 2-way operator. I've been unable to teach the Marantz functions such as soundfield select, and function select. Does anyone have any tips, or is this just impossible?

Erik: Your best bet is to run down to the store where you bought your 333 (I had one) and learn the surround codes from a lower end model Sony receiver, in the DE line, without the 2-way remote.
You'll need to learn the 2 Ch. Mode, the A.F.D. mode, and the mode that enters the Sound Fields, and then the cursor up, down, left and right.
Let me know if this works! It should!
Sony sound fields are almost impossible for most remotes, unless you do it this way.
