I have my stereo/receiver, DVD, vcr, etc in a cabinet that does not have glass.
I'm looking for a universal remote that can run all of these devices (easy) and a way that I can control them without having to open the cabinet doors (hard).
Does anyone have a recommendation for a remote system that will relay the IR signal to the respective component?

Chris, there's a ton of threads about this already. You need any remote control and an IR repeater or IR extender. Do a search for either of those and you should have your answer.
