Good evening.

I saw this remote at Circuit City. Anyone using this? What are the opinions on it?

Will it work the following:

JVC TV
RCA A/V Receiver
Sony Stereo VCR
Panasonic 5 Disc DVD/CD Changer
Philips Directv/TIVO combo.

Will it allow me to do pass through of volume control to my A/V receiver when using VCR, Directv/TIVO and DVD? Will it also allow the TV volume to be controlled when just watching the TV?

Thanks for the input.

Sima's SUR-20 is compatible with all of the brands you listed. If the preprogrammed codes do not work for your models you will need to use your existing remote to teach the SUR-20 for that device.

It is sometimes possible to program the volume control for your TV on another screen but the devices would have to be the same brand and the remotes would have to be using the same frequencies. If this did not work there is an easy solution, for example: program the volume keys on your VCR screen as macros (any button for all of the screens can be use for a macro) for the volume up/down keys on your TV. You can even go as far as using one macro to increase the volume on your TV and A/V receiver at the same time.
