Daniel mentioned it's on his "review to do" list a few days ago here: [Link: remotecentral.com]

Looks promising if the price is right!

Avsmarts is listing this remote at $115. It also says to contact them for availability, so it's probably not out yet. Looks like a good deal for only $15 more than the 515. Anybody have any info on the release date?

Sometime next month (July) is what I've heard.

And apparently the U515 is being laid to rest.

I loved the UC-515. It is one of the sexiest remotes out there. But the 525 is taking the best of the 515 and adding some hard buttons, which will make it a lot more useable for apparently the majority. Most "wish list" items for the 515 were based on having some hard buttons.

Not only does the 525 add the standard navigational hard buttons, it has also included some of the more requested "task"buttons, as well, like direct access to setup... ... Mike

The UC-525 uses exactly the same technology and core functionality as the UC-515.
Main Differences:
- the most frequently used softbuttons of the UC-515 became hardbuttons now (volume, channel etc.)
- the backlight is now a blue EL backlight with a very uniform illumination
- the housing is much smaller, easier to hold, better balanced and lighter

As usual the availability date slipped again into end July, sorry about that.
