Does anyone know where to get a copy of the programing software for the URC-2 remote without paying the outragous price from Xantech. How do they expect to sell the remote with those prices?

Its not the software you need, its a programming kit, and it includes an IR learner w/ a PC interface (PCIR). If you have the old model, they will upgrade. I believe the software is available for download on Xantech's website for free. BTW, I'm pretty sure Xantech never intended for end users to buy the kit, they really were trying to meet dealer demand for this type of product. Dealers can ammortize the cost over more than one remote. Actulally, its not the most expensive programming kit/software for this purpose. Its not the cheapest either, RTI, Philips, Marantz, and Universal Remote do it for free.
