I will have all my AV gear behind wooden doors behind the seating area. I want to be able to control them when facing towards the screen. I understand I can buy some kit where an "eye" can be put near the screen which connects to a device switch which has several IR blasters which are physically taped over the front of the each individual AV hardware. Can someone recommend some manufacturers please.

Thanks, regards,
-Mike

Philips makes a "remote extender" which has 2 IR blasters to tape on and transmitter which can control several devices if you can get it a few inches from your equipment. I use it across my house to control 2 Sat-recievers and a VCR from a second room.
