Is there anyway to program the RC 2000 MKII if you don't have the old remote of the electronic device you want it to control. ie. I have a TV that I have lost the remote to. It is a Sanyo? How do i program the RC 2000 MKII to control it?

Thomas: Bad luck... The only built-in codes in the 2000 MkII are Phillips RC-5 codes. Magnavox, Marantz and Phillips only.

If all you need are very basic functions, most of the under $10 to $12 models at Wal-Mart can transmit the functions you need to learn.

But if you want detailed control, you'll need to get either a One-For-All Cinema 7 or the Radio Shack 15-1994. These 2 units will run from $25 to $39. They can be custom programmed to generate nearly every function your TV can accomplish. Many like using one of these 2 for their only universal remote. For me, I still prefer the 2000 MkII and using the others to teach the codes I want.
