I have been looking for the best remote at an affordable price. Of course 'best' and 'affordable' are both subjective.

I have an excellent Pioneer surround receiver, Pioneer cassette, Sony 10-Disc CD Changer, Pioneer DVD/LD combo, 2 VCRs, and a nice TV. Remotes for all of these clutter the coffee table, as yours once did. At some future date, my family will moving into a larger home and I'll upgrade some of the equipment... so the remote must be able to accommodate change and still be simple enough for the family to operate.

I was satisfied with the features offered by a friend's Home Theater Master #SL-9000. I was especially impressed with the pre-programmed settings, ability to learn and ability to turn on multiple devices at once (macro?).

Then I read reviews here, posted by you nice folks. It seems no one believes that unit operates a DVD well.

So, I seek expertise. I'm trying to stay around $150... I think that's plenty to spend, though I'll go higher if I need to.

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
