I've found this remote control on two German pages for shipping, but I can't find out who is the manufacturer.

All I know is that it has about 50 hard buttons and that it is able to handle 15 devices and that it can learn codes from original remotes. Also it has a small display, has macro and timer capabilities, the IR range is 18.87-90.91 kHz.

Unfortunately in the short description it is mentioned that 250 function can be assigned to the buttons, thus meaning that not all buttons can be learned. But this would be no problem if I could at least configure all buttons for all devices with the built-in codes.

The price is about 80-100 DM (40-50 $), so I feel there must be a big problem with this remote control. Or have I really found the ultimate solution for me (many devices, many _hard_ buttons)?

Just found out the manufacturer: It's Aikotec (www.aikotec.com).

As as I thought the device is only designed to handle 5 devices. So the calculation computes: 50 keys * 5 devices = 250 possible commands.

I don't know why it's advertised that this remote control can handle 15 devices. Possibly because you could share one button set for 3 devices? With such a calculation the web shops could even say that this remote handles 250 devices - one button each... ;-)
