Hi all

I've just bought a spare RU990 of ebay as a just in case my original was to fail. When I tried to download my existing configuration file, it failed to communicate because it turns out to be a TSU7500 with the wrong labels on.
So I converted my file for a TSU7500 and it appears to be working OK, it operates all my kit on IR and even does my RF philips sockets.

Does anyone know of a potential issue I might get with other kit mp something I've not thought of, which would make want to ask for a refun?

Much appreciated

Matt

I use RU990 and TSU7500 and didn't notice any difference in working with them. One was meant for the European market, the other one for the American market.

After I have changed my file I just save it as a RU990 file and as a TSU7500 file.
Best regards, Jürgen

If you return the unit and get an RU990 instead of a 7500, you may find that your Philps RF Light control no longer works. Just follow JurgenW's advice and save file as a different model.

Thanks for the replies,
I'll be keeping the remote and doing as suggested and just saving my configuration file in the two formats - not ideal but it'll work.

The only thing that won't be fully functional is using it with my existing IR repeater as the American and European repeaters operate on different RF frequencies.

Cheers for the comments.
