Hi,

As the title suggests I am a new user when it comes to home theatre control and have recently purchased a Marantz RC9500 remote. I have done a basic configuration using the wizz.it software and am happy with my first attempt. However, I have a couple of questions and hope someone can help.

Everything works except the hard channel buttons seem to send the signal twice in quick succession meaning the channel changes twice. I have re-learnt the buttons but still have the same problem. I am trying to control my sky+ hd box (the 2 TB version if that helps). Can anyone offer help or even provide the codes for the channel up and down, that would be great.

Also, has anyone used the RE.BL IR to Bluetooth converter for the PS3 with the Marantz RC9500 and if so can you offer any help.

Thanks.

Please post the IR code data from the button or the buttons that are linked to your Hard Channel buttons.

Hi,

These are the codes that the remote is learning from my sky remote.

Channel Up:
0000 006C 0000 0022 00AC 00AC 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 06FD

Channel Down:
0000 006C 0000 0022 00AC 00AC 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 06FD

A weird thing has now started to happen in that when I have tried to re-learn the sky channel up and down buttons, the remote now changes the source/input on my TV.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,

I have solved my problem.
I have a second Sky+ HD box (although the remote is not the same, it did operate both boxes) so tried using that remote to program the Channel Up and Down Buttons and it worked. The codes it generated were different and now the RC9500 is working like a charm.

Thanks.

As the code data you posted is only a repeating code, I suspect that you can get what you want by changing the 'Duration' of the IR code from default to something like 0.2s.

You can also modify the codes as follows:

Channel Up:
0000 006C 0022 0022 00AC 00AC 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 06FD 0000 006C 0000 0022 00AC 00AC 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0016 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 0041 0015 06FD

The issue you are seeing is very much like Sony Codes that will not repeat. By changing the code as I have done here or adjusting the IR duration, you will be set.
