Hi,

thanks for link, but I can't open files with ProntoEdit. When I try to open file program close.

Can you just post ON/OFF code so I can try it.

Thank you for your time.

Did you download zip files? If so, did you unzip to find .ccf files? or .pcf files? If .zip file, please unzip and then tell me what the extension of the file inside is.

I don't have all the editors installed. If the file is .pcf, then I would recommend you install PPENG so that you can open that file.

Try with XP if you can find an install. The PCF (PPENG) editor has not been fully certified for anything other than 32 bit XP. Therefore, most who are using it are doing so using virtual PC and an XP 32bit installation.

Hi Lyndel McGee,
I am using XP 32bits on a virtual PC but cannot get the on/off button on the Panasonic air conditioner to work! All other buttons are working. I downloaded a panasonic air conditioner CCF but I can't open the CCF file with ProntoEdit. When I try to open file program close. Try learning many times. Learning accepted but cannot work. Can you help? I am using TSU 7000.
Thanks.

From the File menu of PPENG, choose File -> Import CCF... The file you downloaded from here is actually a zip file that contains a CCF. In Windows, have you chose Folder Options which specify to Hide Extensions for know file types?

And, as I don't have the IR codes in front of me, I cannot make a recommendation without first seeing the IR code data you are attempting to use. Can you please post the codes you are having problems with?

This may be one of those cases where we have to 'extend' the IR code or set the IR 'Duration' (presuming you are using later firmware on the NG remotes and latest PPENG software).

I have latest NG version 3.8.17 and PPENG 2.1.8. I dont know how to extract the IR Code. Can you teach me? Quote: So, select from ProntoProEdit NG, File->Import CCF... unquote done but cannot open always shut down the PPENG. I have everything working except unable to learn the on/off button for the air conditioner. Learn always ok but cannot function.
Can you also let me know my prontopro already updated to 32MB after the latest NG version of 3.8.17. Anyway to check if it is indeed 32MB now. How do I upload my PCF configuration for you to see? Thanks

You need to Enter 'Settings' on the remote (press and hold the remote icon at the top for 3 seconds). If you don't have one of those on the screen, then you need to define a button that takes you to 'Tools' or to 'Settings', I forget which. This can only be done in the PPENG software.

The key factor here is the firmware. If you are running the latest firmware, then yes, you have 32MB. That firmware version is available in the files section. I believe 3.8.17 is near, if not, the latest and yes, it will have the 32MB unlocked.

If you are having trouble importing a .ccf file, first rename it to .zip and see if it opens in winzip. If it does, then you must first unzip the CCF.

If you have your remote plugged into USB cable, from the Editor, there is a button on the toolbar that, if hovered over, will display a tool tip upload. Once you have the file uploaded, if you double click the button where you attempted to learn the code, an actionlist with an IR code will come up. Double-click that code and voila, you will see the IR Code data you learned.

Many of the tasks you are requesting help for can be found in F1 Help from the editor and also from the Classic Pronto FAQ and the NG FAQ.

Thanks McGee,
I can access Settings on the remote directly but haven't try it in the PPENG. Will try it. I have no problem in unzip the ccf from WinRAR but still cannot open this ccf, other ccf no problem. Is there a later version after 3.8.17 for my 7000? Thanks.
