The outer size of the TSU3000s is different (bigger) and the ribon comes in the oposite side of the 3000 and also the contact order is different.

You can ask FixYourPDA about it I sent them a drawing of what to do to make their part work (they sold to more people and same problem), for free, LOL I'm. You will need a soldreing iron , thin wire, cut the ribon and change the sequence of the contacts (without causing a short circuit andwithout change lengh of the Ribon).

Got the screen, but no go. Does someone have the pin swap trick that they can either post or PM me? No video, just lines. Got a 5400 screen from the vendor above, putting it in a RC9500.

You got from FixYourPDA a complete ipaq5400 LCD? Did not worked? I told you have a mother board issue. But to be shure you have to put your hands in a working 7000/7500/9500 remote take it's screen out and test in yours 9500.

The pin swap thing is related only to the touchscreen, has nothing to do with image.

Yes it was from the link posted above. There is no image at all. Unfortunately I do not have a working unit to play swap with. Looks like it all goes to e-bay.

I got this complete screen HP iPAQ 5100, 5400 & 5500 Series Complete Screen (Includes Digitizer & LCD). It seems to be the same size but i can not get it to work. Do i need to change ribbons ? Take the ones off the old glass and put on the new glass? This is for my TSU7000

Thanks

If you take the ribons out you will damage the part.

What is not working? LCD (image) or touchscreen? Describe the problem and mayhe we can help you.

Dear friends, this is my first message on the forum, despite having already used the information for years and years, but after having read all the messages I was unable to decide which of the scanner would be correct for the TSU3000, the last link posted shows the touchscreen panel and together, I'm just stating the glass touchscreen, this would be here guys:

This thread if for the 7000, you have the 3000 and therefore I'm not sure these parts will work. I would very much doubt it.

Why not ebay a working 3000 and take screen from there?

Wrong part Dude. For the 3000s buy an ipaq 19XX digitizer.

rtoddie,

Not sure if you have a TSU3000 or a TSU7000. Could you please be more specific next time? If it is a TSU3000...

I believe the thread with this subject is the "TSU3000 Touchscreen Problem" might help provide more info. It is a rather large thread.

Greg,

Unbelievable instructions. thanks for the hard work. I have a TSU7000 and today the screen fails to light up - at all. However, all the functions that would normally be on the screen are still working if I press the screen. Also, the prontopro edit software is not recognizing the unit. Which is strange because it still works. I have not yet taken it apart. Hoping its just the ribbon falling out. BTW, the glass in in perfect condition so its kind of a puzzle as to what went wrong. Do you thinks its the digitalizer? Would love to find a way to fix it on my own without sending it out to Philips. thanks.

Scott

If your computer is not recognizing you have a remote board failure.
