This is probably a dumb question... but I figured I'd ask it anyway.

I've got the 400 disk dvd changer (985) and have a problem. Some of my dvd's have content on both sides of the disks. For example, feature film on one side and special features on the other.

Is there any way to flip the disk in the changer besides manually opening up the player and doing it yourself? I'm assuming not since there isn't a button on the original remote to perform such a function... but I figure if there is a way... someone here would know how.

Thanks...

I believe some older model changers did have the ability to flip the disc over. Unfortunately, not the 985. Here are some suggestions that can prevent you from getting up out of that comfortable chair:

a) Look to buy 2-disc DVD
b) Buy a duplicate DVD (ouch)
c) Rip a DVD (free, but make sure you read that warning label) :-)
d) Save a slot
e) Load the flip side as the movie was nominated for the Razzie Awards :-p

yeah it only applies to like 5 or 6 of my discs... but still... i think i may rip the flip sides of them and reburn them. not sure if it's legal or not to do so... but i can't imagine anyone having a real problem with it.

My initial loading revealed 3 flippers (chapters on both sides of the disc) I had in my DVD collection, they were priced cheap enough to buy a duplicate dvd for side B. No fun getting up out my berkelounger. Defeats the whole purpose of the changer. :-)

Steve, did you recently purchased your 985v? If so, may I ask who you bought it from?

Thanks.

Thanks for the response. The changer is getting harder to find retail. BTW - Nice price :-)
