i think my batteries are dead, when i lift it up, the screen goes dead. i got a replacement battery (not original) that does not work as well. when i lift that up it dies as well. does anyone know where i can get an original replacement online? searched high and low for a replacement battery. using the ru980. thanks.

Please see the Pronto (Not Pronto NG) FAQ to get phone number to order a real Philips replacement battery. The ones used for the 7000 are the same ones used for the 6000, RC5200, RC9200, etc...

Did you perhaps buy my extended pronto battery? If so and it is bad, I will gladly replace it. FYI - You may also be having some problems with your charger base or ac adapter. If it is my battery, let me know how I can assist.
