Hi all
i was wondering is it possible to some how copy the codes from my cordless mouse and keyboard for my sony vaio to my pronto ru950, if so any advice would be greatfull for.

Have you tried learning the codes? I suspect you will be able to learn single keypresses but combinational keypresses such as Ctrl-A, Shift-A, etc... will present problems.

Also, the mouse may present some problems well.

The IR Scheme for keyboards is pretty complex and cannot always be handled by the pronto. Not that the codes can't be learned, but rather that the sequence in which the keyboard generates codes cannot always be replicated on the pronto.

There are some remotes for PC's that you can write a macro for the one of the remote's buttons for Ctrl-A or such...I have a Keyspan remote which is supposed to be able to do that, although I have yet to try it...not high on my priority list. Also, Learning RF is all but impossible...especially if it is at a different RF frequency than the frequency that the Pronto talks to.

Unless the keyboard operates @ 418 or 433 MHz, use of RF would be impossible.
