I programmed my new 3000 so that the cursor hard buttons navigate for my DSS and DVD device pages. In other words, for both my DSS and DVD players, I can use the Pronto cursor navigation hard buttons to control the hardware. It worked fine for several months. All of a sudden, the cursor hard buttons now scroll from device page to device page when I press the left or right buttons -- and the within-device pages scroll up and down when I press the up or down buttons.

I'g gone back and checked my links, and they are all correct (linked to an Originals set of learned codes). I've tried re-downloading the program, and I know that the download worked correctly because I made a few minor visual changes that took. However, the cursor hard buttons still ignore the programmed links.

I have the latest firmware upgrade (3.9.8). And I'm stumped! Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Nick

Go into set up and turn off cursor navigation.

Any time you download firmware to the remote, Cursor Navigation is re-enabled by default.

It is? I haven't noticed that happening and I've updated quite a few remotes.

That doesn't happen to me. Mine has always been turned off.

I know for sure that the pickup sensor and the hard/firm button backlight enablement settings are reset, along with calibration.

May have something to do with choosing to keep current config or overwrite with default.

I always choose not to keep the current configuration. Old habit from the early days when this was recommended.
