Well, it has not arrived, but I have been programming in the software.

Hello to all you old dogs I remember from a few years ago. I lost my log in info so I re-registered as Mason Hatcher 2.

I ordered my NG Sunday, and it should arrive tomorrow. I have all of my devices in the software, all buttons are set up. All I have to do is upload to the NG, learn the codes, then download back to the PC and finish the macros, links and clean it up.

I have been reading the forum for a couple of weeks getting hints and tips, and I must say the experience of programming this remote has been fun. I would have had a lot of trouble if not for this site.

Kudos still Daniel.

I have decided to use the entire screen space. Are there any tricks or gotchas I should watch for to make sure I can access everything I need to without that default user interface across the top?

I am looking forward to posting more often as I get more in depth into this remote.

The only thing I would recommend is that on some page, you have a button that uses the 'Tools' or 'Settings' special action such that you can get to the setup without first having to download a PCF that has these items on a screen.

Thank you. My delivery was delayed. What is on the setup screen? Is it like the Setup screen of the 2000 that you reach by pressing the pronto Icon at the top of the screen? How about access to the programming screen where you learn, delete, etc?

Is that all one 1 area of the NG?

Nevermind....figured it out. I am using a devices screen, so I linked to the setup and tools from there.

THANKS. ;)

I finished programming and started using the NG last night. It is sooooo superior to the 2000 it replaced. :)

I found a few buttons that failed to learn their codes, but that fixed easily. I still need to find a few discretes.....searching here has not revealed the ones I need.

Next is to tackle Supernudelist. I tried once but gave up. As we are getting a 400 disc changer, I need to try again.

Thanks to the community.
