I have need to send a continuous IR command to enable a search function on my reciever. When I program the IR code from the remote and play it back the reciever just increments a bit stops searching. Press again it will increment but won't search.

The original remote seems to send out a contiuos search up or search down command. How can I get the TSU7000/ProntoProNG to spit out the same command. I have tried a number of times to check that the IR has been correctly sent, I continaully get the same IR code so I assume the code is correct. I have had no other issue with learning IR code it works really well so I suspect there is a trick to the programming in Pronto that might do it.

Thanks,

Fleetz

To get a command to transmit as long as you keep the button pressed there must only be one action on the button being your IR Code.

Otherwise, make sure you keep the button pushed when learning it.

Does this work with commands such as the JVC Power command, which we had to learn in two steps and then turn into a macro in the earlier Prontos? You couldn't get the Prontos to issue a long power command, no matter how long you held the button down when learning, or when sending from the Pronto.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I have a JVC G-11 projector that requires the ON button to be held for a long duration. Just learn the code using the 7000, by keeping the hard button on the JVC remote depressed for the time required. After you release the button, the 7000 will come back with "OK" and the 7000 will work the same way.
