I have an HTPC running MCE 2005, an RCA HDTV to watch it through, and a Pronto TSU7000 for remote control. The HTPC tuner can only output non high def channels so I watch those through the RCAs tuner. What I'm trying to do is view the MCE Guide to see what's on the HD channels, select the HD channel I want and then have the Pronto switch the in put from the HTPC tuner to the RCA tuner. The problem I've run into is that when I pull up the Guide and scroll through the channels, the only way to select one is to hit OK; this doesn't seem to send a discete code for a particular channel. From what I can figure out the HTPC keeps track of the channels as I scroll through and then selects the channel when I hit OK - the remote doesn't know what channel is being selected only that one is. Does anyone know of a way to accomplish the switching of inputs and get the correct channel to display on the HDTV tuner?
Thanks, Alan Whitney
