Hi to all, and sorry if i will do some mistakes in my english writing
Sorry for crossposting, but i did this topic on Sony Remote forum and still no reply
I live in Italy, and searching for a long time a universal remote for my HT:
AV Receiver: Marantz SR5200 DVD Recorder: Toshiba RD-XS32 Sat receiver: SkyBox Video Processor: DVDO iScan HD+ Plasma TV: Bloom BLKK4230PLM (sure nobody knows it, it's a low price plasma) DTT Receiver: Humax DTT4000
recently i bought a One for All URC8210 10 in 1 Kameleon, but decide that it's not for me, cause learning function is limited to 25 commands, key labeling is impossible and is not JP1 compatible (very disappointing, i think it was and it has also JP1 connector, but seem that is protected)
I like very much Philips Pronto, but think TSU7000/RU980 is really too much expensive (but i love it!), and i've some doubt about TSU3000/RU950 (for the well know problem of many Pronto users with dead remote).
So I see RM-AV3100 that seems to have all that I need at a very reasonable price (under $100 in USA on eBay).
Considering that price difference between TSU3000 and AV3100 (about 60/70$) is not a problem, may I have your suggestion for my choice?
May i will have some problem with AV3100 in Italy? (seems that is only US model)
I've read all reviews and many threads, but i can't decide yet
My principal needs are:
Key Labeling Unlimited learning capability (at least 250 commands) Upgradable firmware If possible, PC interface
Many thanks for the help
Cheers Paolo

My advice is to stay away from the TSU3000. Not only is there a well documented issue with the touchscreen, but Philips has awful customer "service". I've still not received so much as a single e-mail in response to my issues. Go with the Sony, you'll probably be happier in the long run.

Thank you very much Eric
Yes, I notice this issue, and this is the reason for my doubts on TSU3000
Now i have bought a One For All URC 8910, and i will program it with JP1, waiting to have enough money to buy a TSU7000, hoping it's price drop down after TSU7500 announcement.
Regards Paolo
