Hi Guys,

I’m the proud owner of a tsu3000 recently purchased on eBay for a song. I’ve also purchased David’s manual and implemented its advise from the get go. Very helpful, thank you very much. My motto has always been to copy, borrow, plagiarize or steal the actions, ideas and procedures of those more successful than myself. As such I’ve chosen to begin my pronto journey by adapting Daniel’s brilliant configuration to my system. Things have gone very smoothly and I have system that functions well with the basics after having learned most of my ir codes from oem remotes. I’ve now begun setting up a few macros and have felt the pain of the dreaded search for discrete codes.

Here’s where I’m stuck: I want to be able to use the direction keys (up, down, right, left) to navigate the onscreen guide for my satellite/dvr receiver. I’ve linked these hard keys to the ir codes learned from that remote. However, when operated they scroll between pages and don’t move the cursor on my onscreen display. My guess is that there are functions in Daniel’s configuration that are “punching through” for these hard buttons and I can’t seem to reassign new codes to these buttons.

Thanks for you suggestions and input,

Dr. Dan

Go to Settings and turn Cursor Navigation off.

I hope that helps.

I found "device settings" under the edit menu however it is not an active function (light grey font, not black). 1. Is this the "settings" you're refering to? 2. I don't have the pronto plugged in (I'm at my office). Does that matter?

The settings, I meant, on the actual Pronto. You can get to this by pressing and holding the pronto icon on the screen for a few seconds...this should take you to the Tools section, where you can select Settings.
