Is it possible to use If Then logic in creating macros and commands.

Example- If device = (TV) then (A- Command) ELSE (B- Command)

I have a Samsung DLP and what I am trying to do is get the TV to change inputs based on what device I am on since there is no set IR code for each that I can find. I have to go to Menu, Left, Left, Down but then it changes when I go to a different device.

If someone has all the Samsung DLP 4663 IR codes that may solve my problem.

Conditional variables are not supported in PPENG and, from the impressions of CEDIA attendees reported on this forum, apparently will not be supported in the next version for the 7500 either. If this feature is important to you, there are comparable devices like the MX-3000 that do support conditional variables.

I usually set up macros for the most common sources my cust switch between. these are usually TV to DVD or DVD to TV. TV cab be either regular of air, cable via a box, or sat. These macros can be set up thru system page hard buttons. In the case of the TVs, without discrete codes for source selection, that I've done; you need to write down all the button pushes required to get from point a to b, then factor in any delays required for the equipment to keep up with the commands, and then i usually end the macro with a beep to indicate the macro is done because many of these macros can last 10 - 15 secounds.
