Hey Guys, First time posting here. I just ordered a ProntoPro NG (TSU7000) and want to verify that it can learn an RF signal. I have some lighting I want to control that will be RF. -Evan

I hope you didn't buy it because you thought you could learn and use RF directly. RF is only possible using the RF extender but even then the Pronto communicates with the extender via RF but the extender communicates with the device via IR blasters. Under no circumstances can the Pronto learn anything via RF. That being said, you can possibly control your lighting using the IR capabilities of the Pronto. If you're using X-10 for your lights you'll need to purchase and IR543 or IR543AH.

I don't know the difference between IR/RF and how to tell which one I have. I have automated lights on my boat-dock that has a remote control and I would like to use my new remote. How can I tell if it is a IR/RF? Also does the TSU7000 have the range to go say 200 feet.
