Hi guys!

Well, after surfing RemoteCentral for about 5 years now... this is my first post! :)

I can't believe this, but all of a sudden, my TSU3000 just went into a coma!

Everything looks great. Sounds great. Was able to re-download my config file. Even updated the firmware. It beeps. You name it..

B U T ....

It's not spitting out any IR codes!

I kid you not.

The little icon lights up as it should, but nothing happens!

Stereo, DVD, TV... nothing! I opened the unit.. gave it a tap... blew in some compressed air... upgraded the firmware... N O T H I N G ! :(

Does anyone have any ideas?

I'd love to somehow test it to isolate the problem, or fix it.

I left the battery out for a few days.

Nothing.

If there's no help, does anyone have a service number for a repair center in Canada or the US? It's way out of warranty.

I'd love to hear some opinions here before I ship it off!

Thanks!

Mike

Any possibility it was switched to RF by accident? Check any device properties and go to the RF-IR tab. Make sure it is not setup for IR somehow.

Hi Dave,

Very interesting possibility...

I checked the device properties on the ProntoEdit NG, and everything is set to IR enabled.

I am trying to set it on the remote itself. The instructions say to hold down the lef TOOLS hard button for three seconds. I have deleted the icon of the remote, so I can't seem to get into that menu.

I think I will download a blank pcf, and then try!

It almost "feels like" this is a very good possibility.

Everything else works 100%... just NO IR...

Maybe we're on the right track!

Thanks!

Mike

Oh well.. It was worth a shot...

I tried changing a device to RF, then back to IR and no luck.

It sure sound plausible, though!
