Marsht,

That's because it "is" the next editor for the TSU3000! The changes made in the latest PPENG editor removed some things from the XML format that would allow Philips to start converging all the editor software into one. In the next few releases, I bet you will see one single editing platform that allows editing of 3000/3500/7000/7500 files all from a single installed package.

Regarding your comment about no lost system items....

I told you guys it was gonna be rock solid!!! Did you also load up the gallery? Bet it was "fast" as well. Did you "merge" any configs? Bet that was 1000% better than before.

I know it's been a long road for the 3000 users but Philips "is" working to get things right and ensure that the software is "VERY" stable.

Well, I know you can presently open a 3000 file in PPNG, but you soon should also be able to open a 7000 file in PNG, without editing anything to do so. I do not believe the single editing program is in the works (unfortunately).

The Pronto guys at CEDIA said that there would definitely be a new (single solution) PPENG that would work for both the 3000 & 7000 by Christmas. No more editing those XML files !!!!

Hi Dawn-

I saw you there at CEDIA but was in a rush, otherwise I would have introduced myself to you. I had asked this before and was told this would most likely not happen (by 2 different people)...who told you this, if I may ask?

By the way, having the Pack And Go feature back does not suck either.
