Hello!

-using latest soft and firm- ProntoEditNG 2.1.1 - Firmware 3.6.7

I was working on my setup adding pages of channels icons and making links to IR codes. I always make back ups while working. Then I opened one button and noticed the links had changed: if the button was "1 1 3 OK" then it changed to "prog 3 vcr vol" all buttons were changed (even the ones I wasn't working on). I don't know if the original codes were changed (hope not), I haven't tried downloading to the remote.

What should I do? I installed the ProntoEditNG 2.0.9 software version and opened a backup file and it was ok. I will continue working in that version, but do I need to reflash the remote with an earlier firmware in order to download to the remote? How do I do that (downgrade)?

Any help will be appreciated.

Willy.

This is a known problem with PENG. The theory is that it is caused by removing certain system items from the system page.

Hello. What is the software/firmware that is working? The more stable combination. I just lost hours of work because of this problem. I installed 2.0.9 but just when I was finishing, the links went wrong again. I installed 2.0.6 now, but am afraid everything will be messed up one more time.

If I need to downgrade the firmware, what's the best way to do it?

HELP ME!!!!!!!!!

If it is the same problem, it happens with all versions. Create a new PCF and then merge your PCF into it. This restores the System Page.

Need new release from Philips.

Do yourself a favor bazaldua and start using PPENG v2.0 to do all the work with your .pcf file!

When you are ready to download to the TSU3000 you'll just need to take a copy of that .pcf file, modify it outside of the editor with WinRAR so that it will open in PENG, then open the file in PENG v2.0 and download to your TSU3000.

I have been doing this for the past year. I am free of the headaches that come with using PENG as a result. You are right. Your problems will just continue with PENG no matter what you do until Philips puts out an update which equals that of the latest PPENG release.

I outline the TSU7000 to TSU3000 .pcf conversion process here. It's very simple. Takes all of 10 seconds. Enjoy!
