Will Macromedia Flash allow editing of the labels?

Nope. It just displays them correctly.
I could always upload the 24-bit native version of my file, but it's quite a bit bigger.

Do you mean that the file takes more space in the remote? If that's the case, I don't think it'll be a problem for me, since I've got 70% free space with your PCF modified to suit my needs and system. Maybe it would be easier to just add a device with the 24 bit versions of your labels to the current PCF. Once again Daniel, thanks for all your help. You ARE da-man!!!

No, the file is always converted to 16-bit (and apparantly lower) whenever it's downloaded to the remote. I just did that in advance to chop some time off the file download. The one I do all my real work in still has the native 24-bit PNGs.

I downloaded the TSU7000 PCF file, unzipped it and tried to run it in Wizz.it 9. I keep getting message, "This file type cannot be oppened by this editor". Can I use it with Wizz.it 9 and my Marantz RC9500?

Sorry Daniel. I missed page two of this chat so I didn't see that you already answered my question about Wizz.it9. Thanks

No, because Daniel has graciously made his, very similar, 3000 PCF available. It's in the files section.

Downloaded Daniels graet new pcf about 2 weeks ago and am about halfway through my configuration but i need a little help from you guys. I need to change Daniels top item surf channel selection icons i.e suft movies, surf learn etc. I need to change them to surf entertainment, surf kids, surf documentary, surf news, surf sport, surf music, surf shopping & surf movies. Can anybody tell me how to do this, i am a novice at using design applications such as Corel and Adobe so a basic lesson would be needed or can somone do them for me, all your help would be greatly appreciated.

It won't be easy to modify those, you'd be better off creating new ones from scratch.

Thanks for the reply Daniel. Can you please tell me how i would do these from scratch. Like i said previously i dont have a great knowledge of design applications so be as simple as you possibly can. Also i would like to create my own surf channel buttons again i would like to know how to do this and get a great finish like you own ones. Thanks in advance for any help.

What software are you using?
You may just want to use the section buttons someone asked me to update from my old file (only in latest 1.02 version, stored on the Home screen in the gallery).

I will be using Phtoshop 7, but can get hold of other software if its easier to use. I would prefer to have them designed the same as your surf selection and channel selection buttons if possible, i find them more attractive than the ones stored in your pcf under home. I appreciate that they are obviously very difficult to make from scratch but any help is better than none and with a bit of perseverance i will get there in the end.

The channel buttons are fairly easy to do yourself - there's a PSD file in the download just for that. It has two layers, the blank background and the reflection. Just find the TV logo you want, cut it out from its background, resize appropriately, paste it in the PSD file and move to behind the reflection, then save as a PNG file.
I'm not really sure how to describe how to change the Surf buttons. You could use the TEXT tool in Photoshop to type in similar sized and colored labels and then add the slight shadow behind them (I'm sure you've noticed the selection bracket is a separate element so you only really need to create one version). One problem is some of your words are too long: "ENTERTAINMENT" and "DOCUMENTARY" will never fit in the allocated space, thus why I used only short words like "FUN" and "LEARN" - and ones slightly longer like MOVIES are pushing it.
I could whip you up KIDS, SPORTS, SHOP, NEWS and MUSIC though.

Maybe when a new PENG version comes this will be doable (unless, of course, Daniel make a new version for the TSU3000). Willy.
