What type of transparency are you specifying for
the PNG file. The only things
that will work are either No Transparency or Alpha
Layer (Image) Transparency.
This is possibly an issue with my version of Photoshop. (But in all truth it's probably an issue with me - as I must admit I do find Photoshop a bit bewildering.) I don't seem to have in the transparency options the ability to specify which channel to use so I am assuming that it is Alpha.
After flattening the image I can save it as a.PNG. There are several save options they are Interlace - none or Adam7. Filter -none, Sub, Up, Average, Paeth, Adaptive. So far I have been using the default setting of "none" for both these options but perhaps they need changing to make the file more Pronto friendly.
Not being familiar with Photoshop, this would
be the first thing that comes to mind. Especially,
since you have not outlined what button you are
attempting to use from the gallery. Is this button
one you imported or one that was supplied by Philips?
What I am doing is this, I have defined borders, a background panel and firm buttons on my system page. On my home page I select insert button. The standard pronto button appears on the page. I right click on the button, select properties, go to the appearance panel. I remove the standard images. I insert the new images, I make sure image transparency is selected. I close the properties panel. I then run the simulator and the wheels fall off.
I guess I 'll just have to simplify my design and use the stock graphics ( not that I'm much of a graphic artist but after reading some of the Photoshop tutorials at
[Link: absolutecross.com] I have realised that you can quite easily create some quite nice eye candy .)
Thanks for your input.
