I am quite new at this. I bought my dad a TSU3000 and it is different from my TSU2000. Sorry, I know I am asking some dumb questions here, but I have searched the FAQ and the archives for an hour. I am fed up.
OK, I just want to enter the discrete IR codes for the TV. I import the pcf from the remote, then I open it up. I open the page for the buttons I want to edit, then I double click on the "ON" button. The properties for that button open up, and I double-click on the "IR Code" field. This button happens to be programmed as an "IR Code from Universal Database", but I click on "Custom Code" so I can paste the code that I have copied to the clipboard from the files here at remotecentral.
Now this is what I don't understand. There are two fields: one for "Name" and another for "IR code." But the field for "IR code" is gray. I can't put anything in it. What the hell is going on here? How do enter the code. I am at a complete loss.
Again, I know I am asking a really extraordinarily dumb question. Every time I have asked a question on this forum, I get lectured and scolded about how I need to read the FAQ and the archives. I know this. I haven't been able to figure this out. Sorry. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated.

Do you have your PCF opened in Advance mode?

Well there you have it. That solved the problem. I can't believe that there even exists a non-advanced mode.
Thanks so much.
