I've downloaded the latest firmware upgrade to solve the problem of the remote going dead (had to flash it twice to get it to go). It solves that OK but with a client that has a DISH network receiver we now have to press every command key twice to get any action and the four hard buttons at the bottom of the screen have stopped working.

Any Ideas?

Do a search on "Dish" - there are lots of threads.

I just received my warranty replacement this afternoon and flashed to the latest firmware after upgrading to the latest PPENG.

I am seeing this also with my Dishnetwork 721 receiver. At this point it is inconsistent. Many button presses work first time, however subsequent presses are only successful after a short wait. Even then, they do not always work.

I have not had time this evening to investigate further.

I have learned codes in a .pcf file that were created using an earlier version of PPENG.

I hope tomorrow to have time to "re-learn" codes to see if this helps or corrects the problem.

Does anyone know if these units can be flashed to an earlier version?

I fail to see how a replacement will correct this unless the firmware can not in fact be flashed back to a previous version.

This seems to have been created by the firmware flash itself.

It would be nice to have an inside track to the developers of this product to work with them to correct these problems.

Good luck on a warranty replacement. It took 67 days to get mine.

Sounds like their crack (as in smoking) software team is at it again. Sorry, I couldn't resist.
