After I download to the remote, disconnect the cable to test, then reconnect the cable and try to download again it tells me the remote is not connected! I have to restart the computer before it will see the remote again. Anyone have a solution?

P.S.- I have the latest firmware and ProntoEdit

Does a press of reset on the remote prior to re-connect help?

I'm having the exact same problem. Sometimes it works other time it can't see remote. Remote screen saysThe CF version is note correct or the memory is corrupt. This is the same CF I had been working for days with not problems. I have been able to get a CF to load from time to time, but then the remote will not communicate to learn IR codes and such.... I have actually had the 3000 replaced by the retailer to no avail. I have unlinstalled and regedited all references to Philips remote frommy registry and reloaded the latest version of NG edit and still no good. Can't believe there are problems like this with 400.00 device like this.. Is there any other remote simlar that works and has support from the company. About ready to dump the damn thing, not worth the hassle......
