as far as i am aware you cannot. this should not be a problem, just a bit long winded as you will have to learn all of your codes of your devices instead of picking them from the pre-installed database. most codes you have to learn anyway! the only thing you will not be able to use is the UK rf extender.

IR codes work the same way around the world.
The internal database that is in the 3000 knows about brands that are sold in the U.S. The 950 has more codes for equipment that is not sold in the U.S. You will find most common brands are in both. Most os us do not use the internal database, so which database you have is not an issue.
If you want to buy the RF Extender, you must buy one that matches i.e. the RFX6000.

what Peter said is right
1) for most stuff IR DB should be the same 2) most of us old time Pronto users don't use the DB (it is just as fast to learn) 3) You need to use US RF base with US Pronto
I would like to add 4) RF base is a gateway between Pronto in RF and a device in IR, it does not give the ability to make a Pronto control RF equipment. People in Europe found European Pronto can talk to European X10, but that has nothing to do with the base.
5) if you decide to get the option charger, it does not matter if it is US or not

If you don't want to learn every code for your hardware, you can open a new RU950 file in the Pronto Editor (PENG) and you will be able to see the UK IR codes (European codes) if your particular equipment is listed. Make your setup and then when you have done that you can choose "save as TSU3000", that should help out. But I have to say it is more reliable to learn your own codes!

Stoobie, that will only work if the internal database has the code in both the 950 and the 3000 version.
