I have a TSU3000 and when macro's execute that involve powering on my projector they take around a minute to run. It would be really cool if a coutdown timer page could be displayed while the macro executes.

I currently have a static page that is displayed indicating the macro is executing.

Any ideas if this is possible?

Brian

This is possible. Although I haven't done it, I have seen some configuations that have. I am sure that someone that has done it could explain it better, but I believe that you create countdown pages. For instances a page that says 10, a page that says 9, and so on, until you get to the end of the countdown. When your macro executes you would also link to the page that says 10 then delay 1 second and link to the page that says 9, and so on. Obviously, with a macro that is a minute long you may want to alter the time frame between links to different pages or may want to have more pages, but it is possible.
I looks pretty neat, too.
I hope this helps.

I see, the brut force way by creating a number of static pages and displaying them at the appropriate interval. That will devinitely work.

I'll see if anyone else responds with a more elegant approach, else I will take your suggestion.

Thanks

Brian

You may want to look in the files section and "steal/borrow" someone else's pages. I know there are several people that do have different countdown pages. That may save you some time. I know that I have made excellent use of many others' generosity with their uploaded configurations.
Good luck.

Just remember that these pages get shown inbetween your actions in your macro. If each action takes a different amount of time to execute, then the countdown pages will be shown at irregular intervals.

And of course the emulator's timing isn't fully accurate to the remote.

Isn't it like any progress bar on a PC:-), there for visual fun, but not meant to be used to set your watch :-)

Thanks Archer I will check out your PCF.

I have made liberal use of others config files who are much more talented than I.

I am getting close to finishing mine and will post it maybe there are a few tid bits that others may find useful.

It's the least I can do to share my labour of love/furstration with the members of this community.
