I have a TSU 7000 and a RF 6000 extender. The remote is working all fine ( I use to have a 3000) but it is teh first time I try to take it work with RF. I have looked around and did not find a solution for my very simple problem: it seems the remote does completly ignore the setup RF: it will always send IR.
I have dowloaded the latest firmware and software. What I am doing: simply set up in PENG for the proper device: RF enabled , select appropriate RF chanel and ID (as setup on the RF extender). The Rf extender is on and has the red light on. What happens: if I have an obstacle between the remote and the device (door), the remote does command the device. If there is no obstacle the remotes works and in fact I switch off the extener it still works: so in fact it seems to stil operate in IR.
One more thing: I bought all the TSU 7000 and RF 6000 in US but operate it in Europe. As they are both from the US I don't see anyreason to worry but corrcet me if I am wrong.
Sorry to bother but I am really stuck as this stage on something which looks very basic.
Any ideas very much appreciated.

If you are still able to operate the equipment then for what ever reason you the Pronto still is sending out the signal for that device via IR. You can control down to the device level as I am sure you know and can select each device how it sends it signals via IR or via RF to the extender. The pronto cannot be configured to send both RF & IR at the same time for a single device it is one or the other.
You can double check that your extender is not receiving any signal as the red LED in the extender will flicker when it receives a RF command from the pronto. No flicker means no communication.
I have a TSU3000 but i suspect the 7000 has a reset button on it as well. Try doing a reset and ensure that the Channel & ID are identical as set through the editor for that device as well as on the dials of the extender.
Your first step should be to ensure that you are at least not communicating via IR to the device from the Pronto (i.e. pointing the pronto directly at the device and no response) this assumes the same button just worked previously and the only change you made was to enable RF for that device.
Next if you still notice that the LED on the extender does not flicker assume ID and Channel are set correctly try changing the Chanel from 0 thru 3 as there could be interference in your room causing an issue. Also try turning off anything that may be causing interference in your room temporairily to see if that helps (cordless phones, wireless lan's, cell phones, etc)

If you use separate Device for your IR-Signals that was linked to the Device page do you use, set the linked pages with the IR-information to RF.

Great, thanks a lot. That made it: I used links to my codes who are saved in a hidden device and I did not set this device to RF. I should have though about it!!
