RF not working on TSU7000

I have a TSU3000 with 2 extenders that work fine. I just programmed a TSU7000 for my new media room and the RF does not seem to work at all. All devices are properly set to RF on the same channel ID and extender ID on the TSU7000 as is set for the extenders. The TSU3000 works but the TSU7000 doesn't.

While I suspect a HW problem, anyone ever had trouble with getting the RF to work at all on a TSU7000 unit?

Anyone tried to use their warranty to get a TSU7000 repaired or replaced?

Thanks to all who contribute to this forum. Once working I'll make my setups available as well.

Have you upgraded to the current firmware?

Thanks, yes I have the latest firmware and editing SW. That's what I did first before any programming, Iupdated the unit.

First I should note that in all cases, IR controls the devices correctly.

I have further found that this is more complicated than the unit simply doesn't work with RF (wouldn't you know). I have a TSU3000 and TSU7000 so I'm using the 3000 as a RF reference to ensure the problems aren't on the receiving end.

The TSU3000 works for all devices but one in talking to two extenders set to channel 1, unit ID 0 and 1. LED extender cables are used for the 0 extender, just the blaster fo ID 1.

The one device I can not get to work with even the 3000 is Microsoft's Windows Media Center 2005 via the extender. Again all devices work fine with direct IR.

The 7000 will only control one device remotely, connected to unit 0 and plugged into the first port for the LED cable (its a TiVo). So this means the 7000 can at least transmit something...

No other device the 3000 RF does works for, will the 7000 control via RF.

I know this sounds odd but I'm still debugging and trying to find something that makes sense.

Thanks.

Update:

I have solved the Windows Media Center problem. There is a known Registry change that solves problems with Windows MCE and can be found elsewhere in this conference (thanks). That corrected the trouble with the TSU3000 correctly handling MCE codes local and via RF.

So it comes done to this. All devices work with the TSU3000 local via IR as well as remotely using RF to two extenders.

The TSU7000 works locally with all devices. The TSU7000 will work with RF remotely control a TiVo connected via a LED cable to Extender ID 0 on channel 1. No other device works.

What's even more curious is that these LED cables have two ends each. The cable going to the TiVo which works has its other LED end connected to the Windows Media Center PC which does not work like all the other devices.

I'm stumped... Maybe I should actually try dropping back to an older firmware edition and SW editing version that matches. Thoughts?

I am having a similar problem. I am using a TSU 7000 and trying to communicate with a Niles Intellicontrol MSU. The Intellicontrol functions perfectly using the Niles remote and RF signals, but the 7000 gets no response from the Intellicontrol. I have, of course, used the Intellicontrol ccf downloaded from this website. I have followed the sound advice of a forum expert in setting the DIP switches on the Intellicontrol to the default up position. I have tested the reception in this position, and it works with the Intellicontrol remote. I have set the devices on the 7000 to the channel 0, ID 0, position using the Prontoedit software. I have done the appropriate downloads into each unit. I have updated the firmware. Still, I cannot even get the negative red light on Intellicontrol RF tester to blink. Yet, one device that I have programmed using the standard codeset for it (a Mitsubishi television) works fine using IR codes. I suspect that the other devices would function also with IR, though I have not tried eliminating the Intellicontrol command in order to test them. Could it be that I have a defective 7000? Could it be that it is not sending out RF at all? Is there any way to test this short of buying an extender? This is the second 7000 unit that I have from Philips. The first one was DOA. I appreciate any help that anyone can give.

Thanks
