I am fairly new to the tsu7000 and have made fairly extensive use of other people's contributed graphics (thanks to all who contribute). When I import a bitmap file to use as a button the graphic on the 7000 ends up looking choppy. This is true especially with rounded images or images that have shading. For some buttons I am able to just open the .pcf file and directly copy the button from someone else's configuration to mine. That works great, but some buttons I need to alter a little. I am sure there is a fairly simple step or process that I am missing. Any help? Thanks in advance.

Open the PCF with WinZip, WinRAR, etc... extract the bitmaps (they're all in one folder) and edit the bitmap.

I am not sure I understand what you mean by edit the bitmap. I thought that was what I was already doing. I have extracted all of the files and have opened the bitmaps in Photoshop. In Photoshop I have made any of the changes that I need to make. My problem lies in the transfer from Photoshop to my configuration. I save the button as a bitmap and then transfer the bitmap to my configuration, but the buttons don't appear as crisp. The edges of a round button are slightly pixelated rather than a smooth transition. Also button with shading don't appear quite right. If the button is just a square there is no problem. Is there a way to solve this issue? Thanks again.

You should be saving as PNGs rather than BMPs, and using full alpha transparency.

As Peter says, make sure you save as a .png with transparent background. Sometimes known as an "Alpha Transparency" This will keep the icon looking crisp. Import in the normal manner.
