I just got the TSU3000. I've done some hw on this device and thought it would be a good investment at not so much of a dramatic price. I was excited driving home after picking it up and couldn't wait to play with it. I do have to say that I feel like giving up. I'm just probably stupid, but I can't get it to configure to my electronics in my room. If there's anyone out there willing to take the time(any time would be appreciated) and show me how stupid I am and what I am doing/not doing wrong. Thanks! And hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Any private messages are also welcome... [email protected]...

The remotes are great (3000 and 7000), the manuals and instructions are horrible. Spend an extra $20 and get the users guide at http://www.prontowizard.com. David Darche has created a step by step process to get you up and running.

I will third that. Dave's manual is invaluable. Though it is not the holy grail as IMO some of what you need to do to perfect your system is a bit of a black art. His guide clearly explains what you need to do to to get a pretty good config up and running.
With Dave's guide and help from folks in the various NG's you should see positive progress.
I know I have had my share and continue to have my share of frustrations with getting it working just the way I want it.
When frustration sets in it's time to walk away and come back at it a few days later wity a fresh perspective.
Good Luck

I did not have the guide, I chose the hard way. Drove everbody here crazy, even got in a tech fight or two. One of them is still lingering on.
But in short, I downloaded lots of pcf's ran the emulators, looked at the structure. And what I discovered is the whole pronto is nothing but several pyramids sort of like an inbred family of sorts.
The top of the pyramid are the individual device pages with tiny buttons with the learned remote control ir codes. Branched from that are the links to those buttons. Usually larger and graphically cool in design. They are grouped by activity - sight, sound, play, etc.
And then from that, they are combined. Stacked commands make for the ultimate single button press: The lights dim to 50%, the dvd starts, the tv screen adjusts to wide mode, the sound changes to the preset adventure movie, the lights dim to 15%, the house doors are locked, the doobell is placed on silient mode to trigger the table top lamp, the telephone is placed on auto answer, and the temperature in the room lowers to that cool movie theater experience.
You'll get it.
