I just upgraded for the TSU1000 to the TSU3000 and have applied firmware V3.1.15 and am using PENG 2.0.6. I have noticed some things (problems?)

The 3000 and 1000 both have a timeout setting for the LCD Backlight and the LCD itself, I have set the Light Level all the way to the right so that the backlight will always tiurn on, and I have the LCD backlight timeout set to 3 seconds and the LCD timeout set to 6 seconds. On the 1000 this works as expected, if you touch the screen and wait, the backlight will turn off after 3 seconds, leaving the LCD screen still on and unlit, and after 3 more seconds (6 total) the LCD will also turn off leaving the remote blank. On the 3000 the LCD and backlight will will stay on for the duration of the LCD timeout and the backlight timeout seems ignored.

The other problem I have is with the editor, I imported my CCF file that I was using with the 1000 (last edited with PE 4.0.5) and most everything has come through without a problem, I had to re-obtain a few IR codes that seem to have been fudged in the conversion, but my main problem at this point is that if a device page contains a button that does not have any actions associated with it, the button still appears when usingh the remote, on the 1000 any button that did not have an action associated with it was hidden. Please note that this behavior occurs on the actual remote and on the simulator.

The last problem I have seen, I can't decide if it's the remote (firmware) or the editor, I have actions associated with more of my sevices the the device properties page so that when I switch to a device some commands are sent (set inputs, turn on devices, etc). I have one device that, after touching its button in the device overview will end up sending the right action commands for the selected device, but will actually end up leaving you on the first page of a different device, I have checked the action commands and there is no jump to another device, if I add a jump to the delected device, the wrong page previously mentioned will appear for an instant and then show the jumped to page.

Please note that these behaviors occur on the actual remote and in the simulator.

Sorry for the long post, but I thought i should try and be detailed. Thank you in advance.

2/ Button with no actions are displayed greyed out. That is the intended behaviour.

3/ The behaviour is quite different on the 3000.

I assume your response labeled "2" is refering to the 1st problem I mentioned, but what does "3" refer to? Also, any further insight into problem #1 (the lcd/backlight timeouts) these seem to work wrong.

Thanks

3 was referring to third problem - about switching devices.

I can't remember exactly how it works on the 3000, but it is different to the 1000. I think whenever you select a device from the device menu, the actions defined at the device properties level get executed.

Most of use don't use the device menu and set up our own navigation. For example, put a button called "Watch TV" on your home page, and then put all the actions you need on that button.
