I have a TSU 3000 and I am trying to program my Hunter ceiling fan in. The ceiling fan remote uses RF and I don't know what "RF Channel and Extender ID" it communicates on. All of the DIP switches (1-5) are set to off on the Hunter remote. I have talked to Hunter support and they were unable to assist me. The fan manual is found at [Link: hunterfanhq.com]

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! I happen to know Santa personally and I can put in a good word if you help :)

The chances of you being able to control an RF device using a 3000 is close to zero. For a start, it needs to operate at the same RF frequency as your 3000.

Buy a RFX6000 and plug a RF-Module with the right frequency on it.
Full pluggable RF-Modules can you find here: Email: [email protected]
That construct works as transceiver to the right frequency you need.

I Hope Mr. Braun can help you!

Hagen, I don't understand your response. What do you mean by a "pluggable RF-Module". You can't add anything to the RFX6000.

Hi Peter,

I tried, and it work fine. I use an 868 MHz RF Module that is plugged to the SBC-LI 900 (European Pronto Extender) on one IR-Emitter connector. I heaved sell from Exclusive-Home in Germany, now I control 868 MHz RF-Power switch with my modified TSU 7000 with 433 MHz RF-output and my old RU 970 with my Pronto-Extender. My other 433 MHz equipment (some light- and power switches from different brands) is direct controlled by my prontos.

Hagen is proposing using one of the IR outputs of the extender to drive an RF transmitter module similar to what I've shown using the Global Caché GC-100 at [Link: mbx-usa.com].

The problem is that RF transmitter modules of the desired frequency may be quite difficult to find. 315, 418, 433.92, 868 and 915 MHz are easily found but transmitters for other frequencies are scarce. In Europe 433.92 & 868 MHz cover almost everything but North American RF equipment uses frequencies in the 300-1000 MHz range.

Hunter uses several different frequencies - see [Link: mbx-usa.com]. One possibility is to cannibalize an OEM RF remote for the transmitter but that may be difficult and costly. I looked at one of their latest remotes and I would not attempt to cannibalize the RF section as it could not be done without destroying the remote. And, you still have the problem of capturing the RF codes from the OEM RF remote.
