I had my remote (Pronte TSU3000) setup about a year ago by a professional. Now my VCR went out, so I purchased a JVC HRJ692U just for playing tapes for the kids. I know what I'm doing on a computer, but this is my first experience with Pronto. If anyone knows this IR code, or where to find it, I think I could get things working again.

Thank you in advance for any help.

The best thing for you to do is have the pronto learn the individual button codes from the original remote that came with the VCR.

I Should also mention that I DO NOT have the remote that should have come with this. I need a code.

I think JVC uses just two code sets for all their VCRs. Many (all?) are configurable between the two code sets so the model number doesn't tell us which code set it is.

This CCF file has both code sets

There are lots of other JVC VCR CCF files that each have one code set or the other (most have code set A).
