I'm starting this thread for posts about relevant doings at the January 2005 CES. If anyone has information concerning exhibits, functions, etc. of interest to those of us concerned with remotes, please post it here and save those of us going to CES a lot of time. Posts from vendors and manufacturers are welcome.

That is a good idea, but for us newbee's why don't you post CES's website? Is it in my hometown? Can anyone attend? Do you have to be in the industry? Is it the same thing as CEDIA or a component of?

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is quite possibly the largest industrial show in the US. It is put on by the Consumer Electronics Association. You are supposed to be in the industry, but anyone can get in by registering on line. The website is www.cesweb.org.

The show is truly massive. So big that it is time-consuming to sort out what one really needs to see.

If you're bored and on broadband, you could always check out our CES videos for a little taste of what it's like.
