I have one thing left to finalize with my configuration. I have a JVC DVD (XV-S500BK) for which I didn't find discrete Power on/off codes. So just for the record I sent JVC an inquiry on this. Here's their answer:


I called JVC Canada, and the answer there was even worst. These people have no clue, but they won't even accept passing on the inquiry to someone who might know, like engineering maybe?

I hear ya. I sent Phillips the same question concerning on/off codes for a sony DVD recorder and they told me to check with sony. Sony said the same as JVC, check with the remote company. Its like the codes are some secrete government files.

This one is good, I called Philips to try and get the codes to control a Pronto tsu7000 ... I thought, just maybe, I could get a cursor command or something to move that highlighted "settings" button over one position. You know to theTimers
