Somehow over the course of revision my configuration for the 7000, I must have merged a file that changed my firm button labels to a continuous DTS logo. Trouble is, I cannot make it go away! I can substitute an alpha word, it will display correctly. But if I put a transport label back in, that damn DTS comes back every time. No deleting or backspacing helps it. And the buttons are blank in my System Properties. So where is this gremlin. And by the way, can the color of that label bar/those firm button labels be changed?? How?

Many, many thanks!

Colors can be changed by editing in Advanced Mode, opening the System Page, and editing the 4 buttons at the bottom of the screen.

This DTS issue was there on the TSU3000 earlier on. There was a fix that involved changing, I believe, the System Page. Please search this forum for the last 1 year looking for +DTS +Firm and see what you find.

You cannot get them to go way!
They just keep migrating back in, even when you don't see them any more - there they are again.

Those dts's are indeed the gremlins.

I fixed them by adding a new button to my systems page and making the appearance look like the supplied firmware button then I put the new button in the same place as the firmware button. I was then able to lable it with the graphics of my choice.

If you want a sample of my pcf to see how I did this.

The downside is that the buttons do not light up when the firmware buttons are pressed. But labeling them was crucial to my whole pcf design theme.

Thanks for the ideas. I see now that there have been many struck by this problem, some who solved it, others not....

It sounds a great deal like the Pronto equivalent of a computer "worm"! Maybe the Pronto police will track down the teenage hacker culprit who infected us with the DTS Demon? Not likely?

Here's the thread that describes the problem as it existed on the TSU3000. There's also a workaround that may work for the 7000. FYI, I'm usiing Symbols on my FirmKeys with no problems. This link is from a 2 year search on +Logo +DTS. There were exactly 10 hits including the thread in which I'm typing.
