Having a problem with the OEM remote and the Pronto 7000. Many functions are sporatic and work sometimes and not other times. Emailed Pioneer customer service who don't seem to give any real info. They say it's either the remote or the sensor. I asked them to send the HEX CODES for this unit so I could cut and paste them into PPENG since the Pioneer Remote may not be working correctly. They said they don't do that. Has anyone got the HEX CODES for this unit? If I can't get them, I might just junk this unit and by the Sony CX-777ES unit. But I am not going to buy a new remote hoping it is the problem, and I have no idea how much it will cost to ship this out to a service center for repair.

Paste a sample of a sporatic learned signal (Pronto Hex) into this thread and we'll tell you whether it needs to be cleaned up to work better, what the clean version would be, and whether it matches some other model for which we know a good file (it probably does).

I have one of these working correctly. I'm not at home for a few days, but I can look at the weekend. Are there any particular codes you're interested in? BTW, I found them to be the same as my earlier Prioneer except for a few new ones, so I think I may have reused the ones I had learned from a 505 remote and just added things like Sub Setup.

Just got here to read the responses. Thanks! I'll go into pronto edit over the week-end and try to figure out how to SEE the hex code for a learned code. Tonight I am beat and I am on a computer all day long writing test procedures & Addendums. I just don't have the energy to mess with this computer tonight. BUT I will be back sometime this week end. Any idea how much a service center would wack me to replace the IR sensor on the player?

Well, I went into PPENG to find the HEX codes. But I have never really worked with HEX codes. When I check properties, it only says "Learned Code". How do I find the Hex code of the "Learned Code" to copy and paste it to wordpad? I am assuming that IF I had the HEX CODES, that I could copy & paste them into PPENG properties for the specific button for a specific command in the same place that "LEARNED CODE" exsist. Am I on the right track here?

to see what the learned code actually is,simply double click on it. It will open a window with the code at the bottom. You could also try using codes from another pioneer receiver from the files section here. Although there are often differences between models, a lot of the basic codes (input, volume, power) are often the same between models.

Thanks for the help. I copied and pasted the hex codes from my 7000 to word pad, then downloaded some files from this site and copied and pasted those under each of the codes from my 7000 . Then compared them with an excel spread sheet with Pioneer DV-F727 codes I also found in this website. Played with different codes and corrected some that seem to have been corrupted. Thanks again!
